Patrician Brothers' College Fairfield commenced in 1953 and has grown in enrolments with approximately 1088 students. The College provides boys Catholic education for Years 7 - 12 for families from the Parishes of Villawood, Fairfield, Cabramatta, Smithfield and other surrounding Parishes.

It is one of many Patrician Brothers' Schools in Metropolitan Sydney, and throughout the world that continues the vision of the Brothers' founder, Bishop Daniel Delany. Named after the great Saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick, the Patrician Brothers were founded in Ireland in 1808. At that time Ireland, ordinary people, and particularly the young faced bleak futures in a degraded and often violent world. Education, in its many forms, became the main way in which the early Brothers tried to help the people around them, and thus build a mere Christian and hopeful society.

Today Patrician Brothers' College Fairfield continues to be an expression of that vision of Bishop Daniel Delany. Our College is distinctively Patrician because, like Bishop Delany and the Patrician Brothers, our faith in Jesus Christ is not separated from the everyday realities of life. But rather we seek to recognise and proclaim the presence of Christ in all people and in all of creation.

Through compassion, practical actions of justice and hospitality we continue the Patrician charism with a sense of family atmosphere and place greater emphasis on community living. We strive to build right relationships with all people, so that, as Bishop Delany wrote, we can 'love God and live together in peace and charity' and 'lead one another to follow Christ more closely.

Rejoicing in hope, through prayer, Eucharist and care for those most in need, as the future unfolds, we enthusiastically build on these Patrician traditions and like the brothers find "Christ in the heart of all people", and through education proclaim their love of Christ to people.
