Its
History
Rosary Village built
in 1996 by the Parish of Fairfield and funded by the Catholic
Archdiocese of Sydney. The Village is manage by a team experienced
in Aged Care and dedicated to the philosophy of caring for the
aged in our community. The Village has been Accredited by the
Aged Care Standards Agency. To accommodate the demand for additional
quality low care places, the Village has answered this by developing
an additional 40 places on its site in Yennora which will be
ready for occupation in October 2001.
The
Facilities
The village is able
to meet the needs of the community by offering two types of
modern hostel accommodation specially designed to ensure a safe
and comfortable environment for or Residents.
All
rooms have their own ensuite facilities and are linked to 24
hour call assistance. The design allows for small communities
to exist without feeling lost in the Village environment.
A
specially designed separate dementia section with secure landscaped
gardens, provides higher care to those requiring additional
attention.
Part
of the uniqueness of Rosary Village, is that it also has luxury
hostel units available for those discerning members of our aged
community. These units are larger in size and have a separate
bedroom and a lounge/dining area with a kitchenette. These are
complimented with a balcony verandah overlooking the gardens.
They are clustered in villa style to promote a community environment.
All
luxury units are ground level with no steps to worry about and
a few are specially designed for disabled residents.
Double
units for couples are also available.
The
Service
All
hostel units have 24 hour care assistance, all meals are cooked
fresh daily on the premises, cleaning maintenance, laundry and
activities program are all provided. An in house television
system provides church services and entertainment to your room
and the landscaped grounds with the village's own parkland provide
outdoor areas to enjoy with your relatives and other residents.
24
hour security ensured that the residents are safe and secure
at all times.
What
does it COST?
The Village hostel units range in price from $100,500 to $200,000
for the luxury units. This is by way of a combination of an
Accommodation Bond and an Interest Free Loan to the Village
Building Fund. Both are almost fully refundable to the resident
when they leave the Village.
Daily care fees are set by the Commonwealth Government and Centrelink,
being either a daily care fee of 85% of the single pension or
a slightly higher fee based on an income test.
Some
units are set aside, for residents who are financially disadvantaged
to provide accommodation for that sector of the Community.
